Obituary for Allan Jordison

It is with great sadness that the family of Allan Jordison announce his sudden passing at the age of 51 on Thursday, September 10, 2009. Allan was born in Moose Jaw on August 20, 1958, eldest son of five children. He received his primary education in Viceroy and Frontier Saskatchewan, as well as Spirit River, Alberta. He took his trades training as a Partsman at SAIT in Calgary where he met and later married his wife of 29 years, Alana Jacquith. Upon graduation, he worked at several automotive and farm equipment dealerships in the Peace River region of Alberta before joining Fairview College as an instructor in the trades department in 1987. During his tenure at Fairview College, he was instrumental in the early development of what is now the Alberta Apprenticeship Trade, Materials Technician, formerly known as the Alberta Designated Occupation Warehousing. He relocated to the Edmonton, Alberta area as the director of the college’s newest campus in St. Albert in 2002. After leaving the college he travelled throughout Canada and the United States for the Harley Davidson Motor Company, instructing in their Performance Management Program. Wanting to get back to his roots, Allan relocated to Moose Jaw in July of this year. He is predeceased by his brother Wayne, his maternal grandparents, Rudolf and Carrie Lang, of Regina and his paternal grandparents, Fred and Mildred Jordison of Cardross. He is survived by his wife Alana and her family, his parents Earl and Terry Jordison, brother Barry (Ericka) in Brandon MB, their children, David and Amy, his sister Sherri of Grande Prairie AB, brother Lee (Roux) in Grande Prairie, AB, their daughter Elizabeth, and numerous uncles, aunts and cousins. Alana, Earl and Terry would like to invite family and friends to join them at a Come and Go Tea on Tuesday, September 15, 2009 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Eagles Club in Moose Jaw. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Arrangements are entrusted to Parkview Funeral Chapel.
